Should I Buy a Cricut Machine?

This is a popular topic!

If you are hesitant, I understand! It took me a while (a year and a half)

to decide to get mine. (Cricut Explore Air 2).

Don’t worry!

You can make paper flowers either way! Here are some things I love about Cricut and things I liked about hand-cutting.

THESE ARE 5 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT MY CRICUT

1. It cuts detailed pieces such as stamens for the flowers, fringes, and intricate cut-outs for card making. (Some of which are impossible to cut by hand!)

2. It cuts very cleanly cut, so things like petals are cut cleanly so you can keep the look consistent.

3. It’s easy to handle. (Cricut Design Space)

4. I can explore designs that I couldn’t if I was cutting the template by hand.

5. Cricut Design Space has a variety of projects where you can explore inspiration.

THESE ARE SOME THINGS I DID NOT NOTICE ABOUT CRICUT

• The time for cutting templates could be faster or slower than hand cutting, depending on the design.

• You waste more paper because you cannot make Cricut cut to the edge like you do when hand cutting.

• You have to feed the mat as your Cricut cut more than one sheet of designs/templates that means that while your Cricut is cutting the designs, you are stuck with the machine.

HERE IS MY JUDGEMENT CALL!

I’ve made many flowers without Cricut before. That’s why I can see both points of view. Now that I have Cricut, I can’t imagine working without it! I love all the things I can do with the machine, it’s easy to learn, and the possibilities are endless! I still make tutorials thinking about both situations. If you are going to make quite a bit of flower, or other crafts, I highly recommend getting Cricut. I’m pretty sure you won’t regret it!
