I grew up in a creative family with the creative surroundings of Tokyo. There were pretty designs from all over the world always available. My dad was an entrepreneur and investor who encouraged me to have new ideas. There was nothing my mom cannot do to create. She especially loved to paint kimonos. My big brother was someone who knows what trends will be before they happen. All of that helped me become more aware of pretty things and designs. As for me, I was always good at making things. Now, I’ve been away from home for over 25 years, and my inspirations often come from nostalgic feelings for Japan, simple zen-like designs, and nature.

I’m also a mindfulness enthusiast, and I’m happy that one of my illustrated guided journals, Manifesting Your Dream—a creative self-discovery journal will be out soon!

Lastly, I’ve been teaching paper flower making on and off lines.
